Witherbark Belgian Shepherds
Welcome to the home of Witherbark Belgian Shepherds. We first fell for the Belgian shepherd dog nine years ago when we rescued a so called Belgian shepherd cross from the rspca and as it turned out there isn’t a great deal of BSD in him but on searching the internet we found this fabulous breed.
We also owned a collie cross at the time so could not have any more dogs where we were living. Three years passed and sadly Kruger our collie cross passed away so we contacted Belgian rescue to find out where there were any Tervueren litters available. We were put on to Jan Ralph in Lincolnshire so one snowy January Saturday morning we jumped in the car and headed the 140 miles up the A1 to Donington to meet Jan and her Tervueren litter, well we came home with Sophie the Tervueren in the picture right.
To cut a long story short three Tervueren and two Malinois later (some of which to this day Jan swears we stole from her!!!!! we didn’t we just borrowed them) Sophie is about to have her and Witherbark Belgian Shepherds first litter. In the six years since Sophie we have moved from our small house in Surrey to Lincolnshire Where all the dogs have plenty of room to enjoy their space and freedom as only Belgians can. To finish off this opening piece we would just like to say to Jan Ralph in particular thank you for the help and support you have given us we appreciate it greatly. Also to all the other people that we have met along our Belgian journey so far thank you for some great times and long may they continue.
Please come back as this site grows.
